Join Leanne Wood, Plaid Cymru, and Sion Tomos Owen, Presenter and Author of  welsh learners book 'Y fawr a'r fach' for a session for Welsh learners in Treorchy Library on Friday 29th of June. Sion's book is for Welsh learners at foundation level published by Y Lolfa as part of the Llyfrau Amdani series for Welsh Learners. It’s called “Y Fawr a’r Fach: Straeon o’r Rhondda” and is a kind of guide to the Rhondda told through short stories from my upbringing and life in the Rhondda Valley with illustrations for each of the 16 stories. Everyone is welcome to this free event - no booking required.

Learning Welsh – what are the challenges facing people who learn Welsh as adults in today’s Wales? How accessible is it for adults to start learning Welsh?
Y Rhondda – discussion on the history of the Welsh language in the Rhondda and the part that RCT can play in the renaissance/rejuvenation of Cymraeg in the valleys
