Kerry Ellis is recognised as the leading lady of West End and Broadway musicals, with a number of starring roles in London, New York, and around the world. She has achieved chart-topping success as a recording artist signed to Universal Decca with her debut album "Anthems".

Kerry is best known for her roles including the original Meat in Queen and Ben Elton’s musical, We Will Rock You; the first British actress to play Elphaba in Wicked in the West End as well as on Broadway; and Ellen in Miss Saigon. Other leading role credits include Grizabella in Cats at the London Palladium, for which Kerry won a What’s on Stage Award; Nancy in Oliver! and Fantine in Les Misérables.

At the end of 2016 Kerry played Sara in the West End production of Murder Ballad, the European premier directed by Sam Yates to rave reviews alongside Ramin Karimloo, Norman Bowman and Victoria Hamilton-Barritt. Last year, Kerry completed a tour of the UK playing Alice in Frank Wildhorn’s musical Wonderland, which toured the UK. Kerry and Frank are now working on new projects and music together.

Other performances include singing the National Anthem for the FA Cup final at Wembley, a sold out tour of Champions of Rock in Sweden, and playing Svetlana to critical acclaim in Chess at the Royal Albert Hall opposite Idina Menzel and Josh Groban (subsequently released on DVD and CD and screened on US network television), Thank You For The Music the BBC Radio 2 ABBA concert in Hyde Park, Night of 1000 Voices, and The Festival of Remembrance both at the Royal Albert Hall, she also headlined the BBC Proms in the Park 2010.

Kerry was involved in the Les Miserables feature film as well as headlining various festivals across the country, she also starred in the arena tour of Jeff Wayne’s War of the Worlds alongside Jason Donavan and Ricky Wilson of the Kaiser Chiefs. Kerry also toured with the 20th Anniversary Tour of Rent playing the role of Mimi.

Kerry’s stellar reputation means she is in constant demand on the concert scene and she most recently performed alongside Matt Cardle and Samantha Barks.

Kerry’s chart-topping debut album ‘Anthems’ was produced by Brian May and gave the partnership their first taste of chart success, also collaborating on Kerry’s first major CD Wicked in Rock. This partnership triggered a successful touring career and the duo released their highly anticipated second studio album ‘Golden Days’ in April 2017.

The beginning of 2018 saw Kerry star in her first play, Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest, her first non-singing role. Shortly after this, Kerry embarked on a 20th Anniversary UK tour, celebrating the 20 year theatre career. In October 2018, Kerry performed for one night only at Onyric Teatre Condal in Barcelona and as part of Stages At Sea cruise alongside Michael Ball, Beverley Knight and Lee Mead. Most recently, Kerry starred in Raymond Gubbay's Christmas Spectacular and has just returned from Japan, where she made her concert debut.
