welcome to RAFT

Picture
Croeso cynnes | A warm welcome to RAFT, the Rhondda Arts Festival, where each summer we seek to celebrate and showcase the tremendous array of creativity and artistic talent present throughout the Rhondda valleys, and bring the very finest visiting artists to the region. Centred on the thriving town of Treorchy, each summer RAFT brings you the very best in South Wales' and wider artforms, filling every conceivable space with your favourite music, theatre, comedy, literature, art, poetry - and more!

The first Rhondda Arts Festival Treorchy (RAFT) took place in 2018 and featured Jools Holland, Lesley Garrett & the Welsh National Opera Company, Only Men Aloud alongside a host of local performers and artists.

RAFT 2019 then featured West End & Broadway star Kerry Ellis, top comedian and Hollywood actor Omid Djalili, Blackadder & Time Team star Sir Tony Robinson, plus our C-RAFT Beer & Gin Festival, outdoor movie screenings, Arts & C-RAFT Family Fun Day, and much, much more!

With RAFT 2020 | 21 regrettably cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic, RAFT 2022 will run from June 2nd to July 9th 2022 with tickets on sale from St David's Day, March 1st  2022! Full information will be available soon!

RAFT can only happen due to the hard work and dedication of the festival team & volunteers, so when you attend our events, please thank them when you see them and know that many are going over and above to ensure the festival takes place and thrives.

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for the support you gave to RAFT in 2018 and 2019, and through the current difficulties of the 2020 | 21 pandemic. We'd also like to thank all the local performers & artists who are doing such amazing work supporting the community online through these incredibly challenging times.

We look forward to seeing you all at our 2022 events. Stay tuned for regular updates via the website and our social media channels on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and more!

See you at RAFT 2022, June 2nd to July 9th across Rhondda
